I have been over the past year and a half to many eye doctors, I got lucky in finding a OD in the Gainesville, Florida area who has worked with me. I had him fit me with Scleral lenses which have helped with the aqueous dryness but I still suffer from MGD, I comply with Warm Compress, massage and Omega 3 regiment. Yet my glands are at a standstill which cause eye burning. I have bitten the bullet and made an appointment with the Tampa doctor, most of you should know who I mean. Anyone out there have success, he is my last hope, but his prices are outrageous and of course insurance does not cover any of it. I have held out for this but I feel if he might be the one who can get to the root of my MGD and I might be able to once again have a normal life. By the way the Dr. I see in Gainesville is Dr. Atkins, from Lange eye care, he has been wonderful as far as listening, not giving me the bums rush and not being an egotist who poo,poo's any of my concerns and suggestions. In this dry eye world we have to be our own advocates there a lot of eye doctors out there that are just way to dismissive.
