I just saw a video about a treatment called Second Skin being researched at MIT for dry skin and bags under the eyes. I developed bags under my eyes at the same time my Dry Eye Syndrome developed. I know that IPL has been successful to some degree in some people for treating DES. I am wondering about the possibility that Second Skin might have some beneficial effects for DES. It doesn't completely make sense that it would physiologically, but if it has some effect on oil glands in the skin, maybe there would be more oil available in the meibomian glands under the eyelid skin. Maybe this makes no sense, but I am desperate and if it comes with little risk, I will try it when it comes on the market.
