I have dry eyes but was able to keep symptoms under control using 2% rapeseed oil eye drops compounded by Leiter’s Pharmacy in San Jose (which has been mentioned many times in this forum.)
The bad news is that Leiter’s, formerly a family enterprise, is under new corporate management and ceased to make eye drops and many other preparations.
I found another reputable compounding pharmacy in the area that would be interested in making these types of eye drops. Understandably, they would like a critical mass – a dozen or so -- customers to make it feasible for them to supply a particular kind of formula.
Has anyone else here either used 2% rapeseed eye drops in the past (they have been mentioned some time ago in this forum) or would be interested in trying them?
I can probably survive on OTC eye drops (Soothe) along with Omega-3 supplements, lid scrubs and warm compresses, but I did significantly better with the rapeseed oil drops.
Grateful for anyone's input.
