My right eye seems to have a glare problem compared to my left. I notice it when there is bright light in the background and dark areas wash out. It makes me think of how cataracts must be, like my eye is cloudy. A very similar sensation happens when my eye drys out, but the effect persists even right after putting in eye drops, so I don't think it's on the surface. I've been reading, and it seems like it is possible to get permanent damage from corneal hypoxia that may have this symptom. I wore RGP lenses for about 3 years, about 10 hours a day and it was not uncommon for my eye to dry out. I wonder if I may have done some damage? I haven't worn contacts in 3 years or so, so if I did do some damage, I'm guessing it will never reverse? Not sure if anyone here knows about this, but I'm at a loss to find an active forum that talks about this type of thing, and every doctor I've gone to is not interested in helping me since I must not be blind enough yet...
