It seems they are using these transplants or stem cell discs to repair diseased or damaged corneas. Could this repair the lasik flaps that ruined so many of our eyes? Anyway I saw a prominent dry eye specialist in Tampa, Fl who suggested I have this procedure done because I have "wrinkles" in the cornea. I asked him it was wrinkles in the lasik flap and he said no, because I know they can just mechanically smooth those out. He did say that Lasik ages the eye, so it would be interesting to see if something like this could rejuvenate or reverse the damage.
