  • Inflammation of cornea

On June 12 I had severe eye pain in left eye. The pain was so severe I had to take pain pills and got to bed was able to see optomologist the following day and he couldn't say what May have caused such inflammation but gave me Lotemax to use for a week. I was not getting any better 4 days later so went to opthamologist that gave me diff. Medication This medicine made my eye hurt worse than original pain but I tried to use it since it had been prescribed to me. On following visit the Dr. Asked me why I kept using medicine? He took me off all
Medicine and told me to use only "tears" and come back the following week. My eye was really not much better.
On next visit he said to just keep using tears . The next week I had severe sinusitis and GP gave me antibiotics
Dexamethosone and to radix because I still had eye pain. It improved slightly and was time for yearly eye
Exam to get new glasses so I made appt. for following week. On this visit I couldn't even see the largest line
Of letters on eye chart with my left eye. This Dr. Said my cornea was so dry and irritated he put a contact type bandaid on cornea for overnight took it off next day and told me to use the Tobradex 3times daily and use
Tears every hour. I was using them about every 20 min.Next week was not better. Still dry and irritated.
he tried the bandaid once more and I returned next day but eyes never improved and actually I felt a limitless worse. Now I've been referred to specialist on Friday and I am hopeful there will be an end to this nightmare.
