  • About my condition

    Hello all,
I live in Turkey and I have dry eye since 2020. Although I went to doctor 7-8 times, unfortunately I still don't know the cause of my dry eyes. Also, I can't find a dry eye specialist in Turkey. Here lots of doctors are specialized in lasik etc. If I knew, at least I could do the necessary things for the main cause. I need your opinions. What I know so far is:
    -My schirmer was 11.
-I dont have an aotoimmune disease.
-I dont think I have blepharitis.
-My illness occured after sitting in front of the computer for 3 days
    -I dont have thyroid
-When I wake up I don't feel dry eyes, it happens towards the end of the day.
-I only feel burning, rarely sudden aching and I have 2 fixed red vessels near my retina in both my eyes. They never disappear. They are becoming thicker when my eyes start to burn.
-One month ago this illness started, I had a cold-covid like illness. My PCR was negative but it was very severe. My SPO2 fell to 22 and I didn't know this, (I've learnt this 2 weeks later after recovering) and I've recovered by myself at home. I believe that it somehow damaged my eye nerves because after this illness, also I see a shadowy black spot in my eye when I look. But still I don't know whether it is physically possible. When I've asked this to the doctor, he said they are not related to each other.
-Generally, only one eye hurts in a day. Two of them rarely hurts at the same time.
-I have allergic rhinitis & sinusitis but it seems like it has no effect
-It feels like a flareup, sometimes my eyes are ok even if my screen time is high and sometimes it burns and reddens easily even if my screen time is very low for a few days.
-I'm on restasis since April 2021, I don't know whether it is because of this, but I feel better. I said I don't know because I've tried lots of things.
    - I went to the doctor 2 weeks ago, and he said "at least your eyes are still covered by a layer, they don't look very bad". At least, looks like my dry eyes didn't get worse.
-Recently I've started to think that it may be related to anxiety and stress( I don't know whether it is possible)

Please share your opinions and experiences with me. I really need it. Thank you.
