Hi I am new here and wanted to ask a few questions about dry eyes after long term contact lens wear. I was put on Restasis back in June for moderately dry eye. I noticed as time went on my contacts were harder to take out. I stopped using my contacts all together as of last Thursday. I will switch to glasses. I am in agony because my eyes make no tears at all but I don't have the grittiness or wetness. I wore contacts for 27 years and I am 43 now. Can anybody tell me if my eyes will regain their moisture since I quit my contacts all together. Will it take time or is it too late? Thanks everyone.
