Like most dry eye patients, I can't wear contact lens, but have tried multiple kinds in the past. One of my more annoying, uncomfortable sensations with my dry eyes is similar to feeling the movement of a contact lens being dragged up and down on my eye, in synch with my blinking. This does not occur all the time. It is not as constant as the burning, goopy menthol type symptoms. But it does occur several times a month and seems to be occuring more often. Is this just another manifestation of dry eyes, or could it be indicative of something else. Because I can't schedule my eye doctor's appointment exactly when I'm having this symptom, I have not received any useful suggestions from her, other than the standard dry eye rhetoric. I have punctal plugs. I find that Unisol, which I use 4-5 times a day, is the only eye drop (wash) that I don't eventually react to.
