I'm set for a trial of a 30-day intracanicular collagen plug in my bad eye in November. I have MGD, and most of my discomfort is felt in the upper part of my eye. When I try to wear my contacts, I inevitably experience pressure/pain in the upper nose-side part of my eye after a few hours.

Okay, I just read on a website (sorry I forgot to get the link) that if you get both puncta cauterized, you need to periodically flush your eye out with saline to rinse away dust and allergens. Does that sounds right? I've never heard that mentioned before. Those of you who are upper & lower...
