Just thought I'd post about some terms I'd not come across until recently - DEMS and SAPS:
DEMS = Dry Eyes and Mouth Syndrome
SAPS = Sicca Asthenia Polyalgia Syndrome
These appear to be interchangeable terms, and used to describe dryness (eyes and/or mouth) with pain in legs or arms but not quite the same as Sjogren's.
Also apparently suffers are likely to have high levels of Antibodies to Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO-ab) (http://www.jrheum.org/content/36/8/1626.abstract)
The above very much describes me - does anyone know more on this condition?
