Dear all,

I thought its worth sharing with you that Acetyl Cysteine at a dose of 1200 mg a day helped relieve the soreness of my eyes and get rid of the mucous to a great extent... I am diagnosed with Sjogren's and i really suffer from sore eyes....but this drug helped me even more than steroids with the pain and the tension in the eyes....i thought you can give it a try since it is a good antioxidant too; it helps me with the extreme fatigue that Sjogren is causing me...

You can get Acetyl Cysteine from any pharmacy....it is diguised tehre as a cough medicine....just ask the pharmacist for the cough medicine for bronchitis Acetyl Cysteine and they will give it to you, its quite cheap as well and has been in use for more than 30 years now....

acetlycystine..eye drop!

I'm confused!! I use it as an eye drop...it "cleans" my eye of mucous... I never knew it could be taken..swallowed!!
