Hello Randolph,
I'm not sure what is the best, only what has worked for me.
I had LASIK in 2000, still need correction, and have night vision problems. I also live in Arizona.
My best solution is RGP lenses. They hold a pool of tears between the eye and the lens. I am able to wear them 10 to 12 hours per day, and get great vision.
RGPs have no water in the lens material, unlike soft lenses. Soft lenses change shape as they dry out, so vision changes too. Plus the water content means soft lenses have less oxygen transport through the lenses.
