ghost images in contact lenses

Does anybody see ghost images (a second, lighter image around or near an object), and is your vision worse in contact lenses? I'm wondering if this is from dry eye.

I developed this problem at the exact time my dry eye hit. The doctors didn't yet know I had dry eye so we were pretty freaked out by it. I only saw the ghost images when my contacts were in. My vision was fine with glasses. So in my case the ghost/double vision was definitely caused by dry eye but there are other conditions that could cause it.
