  • High blood pressure medicines - any that don't cause dry eyes??

I'm pretty young, but both my parents have HBP, and I started to get high readings around the beginning of 2008. I also get bad migraines. Dr. put me on propranolol (a beta blocker), which has helped with both. However, it occurred to me it was soon after I started taking it that my eyes started to get worse and worse.
I stopped being able to wear contacts in mid-2008. Then I had PRK in February 2009. As of now, my eyes are horrible.
I'm obviously going to make an appt with my Dr to discuss this, but I can't find ANY info on the internet about HBP medications that are less likely to cause dry eyes. I know there are different classes of meds for HBP.
Anyone know anything about this? I want to be educated about this before I go talk to my Dr. - because I'll be going to my regular Dr, not an eye Dr., so this Dr may not know a lot about dry eyes. I want to at least have an idea of some HBP meds I should try.
    Thank you!!
