My left eye dried out 10 months ago. Since then I've had a plug put in and used gel/drops to try and bring it back to as normal as possible. I've been told I will have chronic dry eye now and for the past 2 months I've been battling keeping my right eye from drying out. This was all due to a "
lasik enhancement" in my left eye. Note, nothing was done to my right eye; however, I now have both eyes dry. Doctor told me to wear glasses and use drops as needed. He said my eyes are not producing enough tears. I am using drops every 1 to 2 hours during the day and every hour in the evening.
I am 57 and retired which doesn't help my nerves. Lately I get very antsy/dizzy when I go out to dinner. Also, can anyone explain to me about when the dry eye becomes active. Also, is this something that will always be there or will the "active" dry eye improve? I can't find anything to read up on this.
