Hrt and dry eyes

Can someone please clarify if taking HRT after a hysterectomy can cause dry eye symptoms or if having the hysterectomy itself causes dry eye?

Yes! I think both can effect dry eyes. Speaking from experience my dry eye started when I hit my late forties and was starting to have symptoms of menapause. I started on HRT but the doctor started me on a dose that was too much for me and I think this made things worse. So, basically anything that disturbs the balance of your hormones can disturb your eyes (and everything else). That's why dry eye is much more common in women...aren't we lucky??
