thyroid?

I hate to start yet another thread asking for advice but I am not sure where else to turn. I have MGD with no obvious blocked glands and have very difficult dry eye- mostly in my left eye...

rewind 5 years ago I was prescribed synthroid based on symptoms and not tests (my thyroid tests were "normal" but I was constantly sad, sluggish, cold hands and feet, dry skin/hair- mind you I was mainly depressed- I had just lost my mother)....but, the doc said it was my thyroid and put me on synthroid.

I have taken the dosage I was given and have not thought about it since...I have had my TSH tested in the last year twice and it has gotten very low (almost hyperthyroid but not quite)...my symptoms are that i cant gain weight, am lethargic, and have other symptoms of hyperthyroid. I know that dry eyes can be a symptom of thyroid problems and am wondering if the medication could be throwing me out of whack.....
I cant believe I havent looked closer at this possible link....anyone have an idea about this?
Thanks in advance for your help...what would I do without this forum?

I take thyroid meds myself, and sometimes read the thyroid forum on yahoo (here).
What I get from reading the posts there is this: getting the hormones levels correct with medication can be difficult for some people. They need more than a simple TSH test. I don't know that much about it, but if you're having symptoms, be sure to tell you endocrinologist about every one of them. Keep a log and write things down.

Check out that forum and read about all the various levels, tests, symptoms, etc. Medication can help us, but can definitely throw us out of whack if the amount isn't right. There might be other reasons, too, for your symptoms lately, so it's always a good idea to get an annual physical and see your endocrinologist.
