So we are told to apply warm compresses and massage our lids or try antibiotics. It is a fact that these things do not work as 99.9% of us have not found any relief. I think we need a different approach here, a whole body approach. It's a lot more involved than just lid scrubs and tetracyclines. So I think reducing the sebum may be the key. Too much sebum clogs the oil glands so we need to reduce sebum creating hormones.
DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is the main sebum producer in the body.
There must be some way to inhibit DHT. I don't know if this is possible, but maybe we could measure our DHT levels and determinate if we have too much DHT.
Also Evening primrose oil dilutes thick sebum secreted by the skin. Has anyone tried that ?
