I've been diagnosed as having an insufficient production of tears combined with lipid and mucin deficiency. I am going to be having a measurement of the lipid layer and a goblet cell count which are expected to confirm these findings.
I'd like to know how common it is for a deficiency to manifest in both layers at the same time and what treatments can effectively target the two of them.
