Sorry for the late reply, I had the same problem with redness in corner of one eye and found Zaditen in preservative free ampoules got rid of that problem. Eyes felt very smooth afterwards. The other thing is Don Ezekiel in Perth who owns Gelflex is one of the pioneers of scleral lenses and says they are the best thing for dry eyes (and often the "only" thing...esp if you've tried everything else). He's the best in the country for them so it maybe an answer. He's my next trial, just can't afford it yet.

The redness has still been getting worse and is basically taking over my eye and affecting vision now.. i think its more the mucous that is affecting the vision as i have floaters all the time now and always a build up in the corner of my eyes especially the right one which makes me think its an infection? There's only 3 opthamologists where I live and they've all been a waste of time, I've caught a few flights to go see other doctors but still no help, the onset with the redness slowly started while I had been on restasis for a while, then stopped because I assumed it was causing this.. I'm going crazy and out of options

        Alex,
i know this may be a big financial decision, but i would think a trip to Dr latkany might be the best option. From what i read u have been dealing with this for many months with no improvement and things appear to be getting worse. If i were u i would start saving money as your health is really important and im sure he will give u a good diagnosis.I know from experience

that'd be a long way to travel just to see a dr since i'm in australia, and I went over there last year to try IPL which turned out to be no help. I'm thinking about trying boston sclerals but again a big decision and would be extremely expensive to fit them i'd have to pay outright because no american insurance.. that's if they'd even fit me and if they were successful..

Alex, understand the frustration. I'm in Melbourne and seemed to get bounced around to different people for a while. It all seems pretty hopeless and starts to feel like you have tried everything for sure ! But there is always answer. I hope you find yours !

How would you say your general health is other than the problems with your eyes?

Always been healthy otherwise until I took roaccutane... worst thing is I've never heard of someone with roaccutane induced dry eyes being cured or becoming better.. wish I could sue the company but they probably wouldn't see dry eyes as a disease..

I read another post about someone having Iritis and looked it up and I'm thinking I could possibly have it or Uveitis and the eye specialists are writing it off as dry eye? Its got to the point where im struggling to keep my right eye open because it is that painful and the eyelid is hanging considerably lower and its much redder than the left.. also when I look up I get a sudden sharp pain... seeing as the specialists are no help I might try to treat it myself but its hard to since the treatment involves steroids.... I'm really stuck here and concerned that it could be something vision threatening like this getting misdiagnosed.
