Hi all,
I've been diagnosed with blepharitis and was originally told that I have mild blepharitis but particularly suffered from MGD. So the doctor told me not to do lid scrubs, but use warm compresses and massage my eyes twice a day. Before I started this treatment I had virtually no dry eye symptoms; only after hours and hours of staring at a screen would my eye appear red at all and there was no pain. This is two months ago now. My eyes have gradually been getting worse and especially after doing warm compresses my eyelids are red and swollen - and not because of heat or burns. When I was first prescribed eye-drops, I did not need them. Now I feel bad with dry-as-the-desert eyes if I do not use them regularly. My doctor says it's absolutely impossible the treatment have made my eyes worse and wants me to start taking antibiotics. I am desperate for a second opinion and am on a waiting list but that could be months. Anything anyone here can tell me?
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
