    Hello, i have just been diagnosed with severe blepharitis infection and i have a question.

    can i treat blepharitis naturally? (warm compress,scrubs etc')
    or do i have to take antibiotics/steroids?

    You can try.

    The question is whether it will be effective enough. No one can predict that for you - it's a matter of trial and error. Some people can get it under control with compresses and hygiene and Omega 3s. Some people need drugs to get an acute flare-up under control but then can maintain it (blepharitis is chronic) with the non-drug things. Some people can only keep it under control with antibiotics.

    If you do go the drug-free route, I would encourage you to read up as much as possible about compresses and scrubs. Method and frequency are important. Too much heat and too much lid manipulation can increase inflammation. Make yourself a rice baggy for an effective short dose of heat rather than having to heat washcloths over and over. Find a method of lid cleansing that does not irritate your eyes.

      the problem is that in my country they don't give antibiotics/steroids for diseases like blepharitis. so right now the natural way is my only option.

      i just bought some eyelid scrubs, hopefully they will provide some relief for me. those things are damn exepensive lol!
