  • tobradex ointment for ant. blepharitis.

i have just been prescribed this to apply to my lashes at nighttime.. i believe my doc said to use for 14 days... has anyone else been prescribed this for blehparitis and if so, what length of time were you to use it? thanks!

Back in '85 I had some surgery on my sclera and used tobradex ointment while my eye was patched--3 or 4 days. I quit it because it turned my eye ball fiery red and the doc said maybe I had an allergy to it. It could have been the preservative in it and not the antibiotic.

I had it in my eye--so that's way more drastic an exposure. A light layer on the lids should be fine, unless you turn out to be allergic to something in it.
