  • blepharitis .... and marginal ulcers

hi all i have tried everything hot compress... heat packs.... i had marginal uclers of about 1.5 years, soon as i stop the steroid drop in comes back after 2 weeks, its mainly in the left eye, but what annoys me is every time i go to the eye clinic which i have been plenty of times they tell me a different theroy what causes it some say my eye lid does not shut propally on night and its drying out, can that cause a ulcer ?? all i get is to try doxycycline again which does not seem to do any thing. what else can i try thanks

From what I understand, marginal ulcers are caused by an immune system response to bacteria. I had the same problem last summer. I use Restasis, which is an immune suppressent. So far, I haven't had any ulcers since using it. I also do eyelid hygeine every day, etc.
