  • Blepharitis now VERY blurry and low FOV

I have been treated for bitheritos and now my vision is really blurry and the field of view feels 1/3 of my good eye. One doc says I have a stage 1 cataract.

    What causes the blurriness?

What causes the low FOV in the sane wye?

    No crusties in the eye.

Drops have no impact on making vision improve.

I've had dry eye and also has one doctor tell me I had "pre-cataracts". I'm only 40. I wonder if there is any link between dry eye and cataracts.

Do you get releif when drops are used? (I don't)

My right eye vision is terrible.

Blepharitis doesn't affect field of vision as far as I know. As far as the blur goes, it's not normal for blepharitis to affect anyone's vision as much as you describe unless it was very severe. Usually dry eye-related visual blur clears briefly when you put drops in. If it were me, I'd be pressing my doctor for more information on the vision. Get them to test your vision and give you specific numbers. Get a referral to a specialist if needed.

So the past week my vision continued to worsen. A family vacation kept me from rescheduling with either ophthalmologist until yesterday. HOLY CRAP!! I have a total retina detachment. Surgery is scheduled in two days and will include a girdle, silicon oil and laser. This sucks.

Oh Bill, I am so sorry. That's awful. I'll be praying for your surgery to go well. Take care.
