I have the same problem, my ophthalmologist also tell me that im 24 years old and that´s to young for use antibiotic. I gave her that suggestion but she told me that the oral antibiotic is for the roscea suffers and i had good skin so that was not an alternative. But when i read some articles and so on what i understand is that you can use doxcycline to get the MG to work again which they dont do in my case.

For info, my daughter had a course of low-dose tetracycline age 11, another 8wk tapered course of macrolide antibiotic later, all to clear the MGs. Standard UK treatment for blepharitis, didn't work for us but does work for others. Yes, there may be side effects. She's done best on topical antibacterials for the bleph, warm compress, fish/flaxseed oil supplement to change the consistency of the meibom (not advised if it is seborrheic overproduction blepharitis).Paediatric ocular rosacea ~ primum non nocere

what is not advised for the seborrheic doxy or oil suplements? My thought is there i sometimes get open my glands when i do the warm compress and if i had a cure of doxy it might get better in longer terms but if i didnt get it my MGD get worse and become a lost case?
