  • Blepharitis and dry-eye link...

Was given an article out of the newspaper which says that
"many sufferers of dry-eyes, will also have Blepharitis" ive been meaning to ask this question, as most dry-eye sufferers on dry-eyezone also complain of Blepharitis, i am one ! getting both is unlikely, so how come so many of us get them both .

Could it be because dry eyes are more open to infection?.
Anyway, the article claims that we never get rid of Blepharitis 100% and must do daily lid hygiene.

I'm starting to piece together what happend in my case, and am pretty sure ive had Aqeas difficiency since childhood (i know ive always had photophobia(and as a child got regular migraines on red hot summers days-the sun, couldnt take the brightness) and only when i picked up Blepharitis did it become an issue. I reckon it was a time-bomb waiting to go off..

Now i want to know- what did i do wrong in the 3 months that i had Blepharitis? as ive had pain ever since; where as i had none prior to Blepharitis.
Did the Bleph do damage in the 3x months i had it?? or did i do it myself by pumping in different eye-drops....
Maybe 1st timers with Blepharitis should be given a top priority and not subject to 3 month N.H.S waiting lists.
And maybe Doxycycline should be given automaticly, and not "here's some drops see how you get on" "see you in a 3 months" that's if you dont get your appiontment cancelled?..

I just recently realized that I had granulated eyelid (Blepharitis) when I was in 7th grade and I had it all through high school. As I think about my past I see more and more little things that point to my dry eye problem. I don't think this is something that just started 2 1/2 years ago. I think this is something that i have had a precursor to forever and perhaps something triggered it to get worse.
