I have ocular rosacea and the doxy hasn't done anything for me and I've tried it many times over the 7 years I've had this. I recently heard that it's a godsend for some and doesn't do a thing for others. I also can't use the ointments. Every time I do my eyes react badly. Sometimes warm compresses are what makes you feel better and other times it's cold. I wish everything worked for everyone but we're all so different. It's all trial and error, good days and bad.

Hi all, yes I agree everything is trial and error. Everyone is so different. I used restasis only for about 6 days the first 3 or 4 days it burned like a you know what. I was so upset and thought my god how am I going to handle being on this? After a couple of days the burning started to lesson. But I then saw Dr. Latkany for another opinion and he told me to stop it for now, so now I am just doing warm water and cold water soaks with patanol that he prescribed. He also said don't do the ocusoft scubs or baby shampoo bc it tends to aggravate the people who have occular rosacea. He did say Restasis may work for me but I'd have to be on it forever. He thought lets try the patanol first. He seems to think less is more for me. I am diagnosed with occular Rosacea too.
