  • Can you watch TV and play video games if you have Blepharitis?

I tried to google that but there was no answer, if you follow the treatment for your blepharitis properly with eyelid care, can you watch TV and play video games?

From what the Ophtalmologists tell me I can live normally (means doing everything I used to before I got this problem), but one also said that it's true that when blepharitis is in "flare up mode" everything that is screen is hard to digest for the eyes.

So I have been following a treatment since the 23rd of this month with hot towel gloves on the eyes, eye lid massages and cleaning with PHYLARM twice a day and that's something to keep on doing for 10 days. From what I am being told, everything'll get better in about two weeks, but it's a treatment I'll have to keep on doing at least 5 times a week for the rest of my life otherwise it'll come back (it's kinda like Periodontitis).

I haven't been able to use TV or play video games for the past four months, is Blepharitis something that'll prevent me from doing that even when I have it under control with the treatments?

I guess its dependant on just how bad your blepharitis is. Try watching tv or going on the comp for a few minutes a day then work up to an hour and see how things go. And dont forget to have regular breaks to rest the eyes and use drops etc.

I don't know how bad it is, but I saw an Ophtalmologist on the 14th December 2011 and another one on the 2nd February and they didn't even detected that I had Blepharitis, it's only when I went to a third one who work at the hospital that they figured I had Blepharitis.

I never had crusts in my eyelashes, my eyelids where never stuck together in the morning etc

But I did start experiencing heavy eyelids and reddened eyes in the morning after I wake up since the end of November 2011.

You don't need to use eyedrops constantly do you? I think I need to use them only for a short while when the eyes are irritated, but after that when the irritation is gone you stop using them and you just need to keep on doing the hot bathgloves thing 5 times a week and that's it, is that correct?
