Lacrimal Gland deficiency - So this is where I'm up to, but I have had all the blood work done, no sjogrens, no lupus (GREAT) but why then, why are my eyes like this?

My schirmer test is low either.

Chronic inflammation in my eyes (despite rednessless) I think is the reason why, in my case.

I'm 38, male. The onset was 14 months ago.

Don't be too fast to rule out Sjogren's with just a blood test. Many Sjogren sufferers will test negative on blood work, I am one of them. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20646416
I did however test positive with a biopsy. If in doubt, ask for a biopsy. It left a numb spot on my lip but it was worth it to have a diagnosis....F/G
