  • Tear film - Lipid layer - MGD treatments etc.

Here are two links to good articles on dry eye issues!

    http://www.reviewofcontactlenses.com/content/c/34841/

Please keep in mind, that dr Korb is the inventor of the Lipiflow System
and does like to sell this System very much.
But he and dr. Brackie did much more research on the treatments of MGD than most
    ophthalmologists did.

    Hi Peter
Thanks for the links. Very interesting to learn that the lipid layer consists of two layers:

" (the lipid layer)l is not a single homogeneous layer. It is believed that there is a layer of polar lipids overlying the aqueous layer of the tears, and a second layer of non-polar, hydrophobic lipids facing the air."
