MGD, Lasik and time

So I know for those with decreased tear production after Lasik that with time the nerves that were severed during Lasik will grow back and therefore tear production will increase (or at least that is the hope).

But what is the situation if Lasik "brought on"MGD, and the tear production tests (schirmers test) is normal, but the TBUT is the problem. Is time on our side for this one? Or does time just give is a chance to learn how to control our symtoms.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi I had Lasik 2 and a half years ago and I still have terribly dry eyes ...How long are you supposed to give it?
