I feel this hits the nail right on the head for me.

This also sounds similar to the IPL treatments that some are having, but sounds like you could do it in your own home.

This sound interesting but I would not liken it to IPL, rather to a rice baggy for travel or in a pinch when you do not have a microwave handy.

While the exact mechanism is not precisely known, IPL theoretically does act as an intense warm compress, but also (and for me more importantly) clears the microvasculature that ocular rosaceans have accumulated in the eyelid margins. These micro-vessels cause all kinds of problems with the glands and renders the oils inflammatory as opposed to soothing.
