I had lasek surgery in december and i had very dry eyes for 5 weeks. My eyes were not red at all after my surgery, but they were dry. My doctor told me to use this gel and i did. After a few weeks i had veins in my eyes. I asked the doctor why? and is this because of the gel? He said no but i had a very bad feeling about this and stopped useing the gel. (Dr Holly or Dr Latkany said it is bad for your eyes) Now when i wake up in the morning my one eye is so red! (the eye were i have the most veins.)
I do not feel dry anymore only sometimes when i wake up in the morning .
I read somewhere that ocular rosacea can induce MGD or something. Is it the veins that cause MGD or what is? I do not have ocular rosacea but veins so does this mean i have MGD now? My eyes are not itchy or my eyelids. I do feel pain where the veins are and when i cry (not that i do that all the time)or there is more tears in my eyes i feel this pain so much more, it really hurts!But only where the veins are. The side near my nose (both eyes) doesn´t have veins and doesn´t feel bad.
I know i should ask a doctor about this and i will see a NEW Doctor in 2 weeks. (I live in this country it is almost like the jungle) I just want to know what you all think about this.
