Just wanted to ask a quick question and/or generate some dialogue regarding inflammation. My eyes have been red for almost 8 years now, and so far I have not found relief. Long story short, I have started to place an ice pack over my eyes every morning for no longer than 3 minutes. Immediately after doing so, the redness and veins are significantly less visible. Can one assume that if an ice pack reduces the redness, that I am experiencing sclera inflammation or something similar? Or does the ice pack simply constrict the blood vessels as Visine does?

The coolness has an anti-inflammatory effect AND constricts the blood vessels.

My eyes look and feel almost normal after using an ice pack for a few minutes... unfortunetely the effects only last for a few minutes.

The coolness numbs the pain in the eyes.
