Blocked glands>?

THis is always a question i forget to ask useless Drs..

How can you tell if the glands are blocked.. i am pretty sure mine are..

but also can i ask..

Is it supposed to be quite hard..and a kind of nodule feeling at the eyelid margin.. ie the lid margin near the eyelashes..or is this a sign of blockage..and should i be trying to press on this area?

i know.. its only 15 years and still as ignorant as ever.

My blocked glands were actually shown to me by my optician - He photographed the front (and back) of the eyes and this included the lids He then zoomed in, enlarging the photos and was able to demonstrate that the glands were blocked
You need to go to an optician that does digital photography - not all of them do.It cost £35 extra to have this done as part of a routine eye test

Oh i nearly forgot - he stained the eye to do this
