  • Preservative-free Zaditen/Zaditor (single-dose units)

I currently use Patanol but it sometimes make my eyes burn. I can easily get Zaditen single-dose units (SDU) in my country. It's preservative-free so I'm very inclined to try it as I wear contact lenses and don't feel like removing them to install Patanol. Anyone tried Zaditen SDU?

I found the following info below on the Internet. What are your thoughts?

Zaditen SDU contains the following excipients: Glycerol 21.25 mg, sodium hydroxide 1 N qs and water for injections to 1 mL as excipients.

SDU: Single-dose containers must be discarded after use. After opening a blister, any unused single-dose containers should be discarded after 4 weeks unless they have been stored in the outer carton, in which case they should be discarded after 3 months.

Hmmm... I read at http://www.zaditen.com.au/index.php/...se-0-4-mL-x-20 the following:

f you wear soft contact lenses, wait at least 10 minutes after using Zaditen eye drops before you insert your lenses. If you put the lenses in sooner, your lenses may absorb the preservative in Zaditen.

But they're talking about Zaditen Single Dose which is preservative-free.
