Good to know I am not alone! Thanks, guys!! T. Sykes -- I just finished allergy testing and am on to the dermatologist next for patch testing of the products I use. I am curious to see if your allergy shots help you at all. Allergist wants me to use Veramyst b/c it has now been proven to have an impact on ocular symptoms. Once again, I do not have itching, but these crazy out-of-nowhere redness flares. Not so fun when you're in the dating world! ;( I don't buy that I have JUST ocular rosacea b/c weeks and weeks on doxy & minocycline + warm compresses (not hot) have done nothing for me.

      Hi Carrie,

I also get allergy shots. To be honest I am not sure how much it helps my dry eye. I guess it could be alot worse if I didn't get them. I have read alot about treating allergies to help eye symptoms.

If I were you I would NOT use Veramyst! I you mention having ocular rosacea, do you have rosacea too? Veramyst is a steroid based nasal spray. A doctor prescribed me a nasal steroid spray several years ago and it made my rosacea way worse. There is something called steroid induced rosacea. That is probably why you are getting "crazy out-of-nowhere" redness flares. Most doctors don't understand rosacea and prescribe things that are not recommended for people with rosacea. I'm not a doctor, but I would be really careful with a steroid based nasal spray!!! I'm just speaking from personal experience and from things I've read.

Keep me posted with how your eyes are doing!
      Good Luck!
      Trey
