  • My eyes aren't itchy- should I use drops?

My allergist instructed me to use Zaditor once a day (along with Flonase and Zyrtec). I've been using the Flonase and Zyrtec but not the Zaditor. I used it occassionally if my eyes are itchy-I have probably used the Zaditor once in the last 2 weeks. I don't think I can use it daily because it dries out my eyes.

My eyes are a little red and veiny but not half as bad as it used to be before I got my blepharitis under control.

I just saw on this forum that Zaditor has BAK so I guess I will stop using it.
Should I look at other drops?

    Anyone have any other suggestions?

    TIA!

This is a question best addressed to your doctor. IMO, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Why use something if you are not symptomatic? The only allergy drops I know of that don't have BAK preservative are the homeopathic Similasan drops in the PF free single use droppers. They are helpful for some people.
