  • winter allergies?

Does anyone have any experience w/ dry eyes being caused by winter allergies? I'm just curious b/c I'm more or less ok from April to October but from Nov - March my eyes are dry, my nose runs constantly, sinuses are acting up etc. My guess is that allergy medicine would make the dry eyes worse.

OH boy! I was just thinking this same thing. For the last two months I have been battling runny noses etc. Doesn't seem to be a cold, comes and goes for no reason. What can you be allergic to in the winter???
I have tried astihistamines and they do not seem to bother my eyes. In fact, some times after taking them I think my eyes were better. But a lot of people have problems with this, the meds make their eyes worse.
    To each his own.

I wonder if it's not so much winter-specific allergies as it is a more compromised tear film (due to HEAT, drier air) that makes the ocular surface more vulnerable in general to irritants, allergans etc?
