corneal inflammation

I seem to have symptoms of corneal inflammation. However, been to 3 optometrists since mid Sept and all 3 don't have clinical findings of that. Or if they did, they dismissed it and failed to treat it. Being told over and over I have a refractive error...but my symptoms seem to get a little worse every month and this doesn't add up.

So, at the recommendation of a friend, I'm breaking the bank and seeing a corneal specialist(opth) on Tuesday.(I normally use VA but am paying out of pocket)

So for those of you with corneal issues...like inflammation, I'm curious as to how easy it was for you to get your diagnosis? Like how many docs, if any, missed it before you got help?
