I have seen a doctor then saw an optician, referred for eye test by specialist said my eyes were fine i have very itchy dry eyes but my main concern is the horrible cluster on veins in my eyes they make me look horrible im depressed dont go out at all, i dont know what to do ive tried many eye drops nothing has worked.

Welcome to the club. I have tried for years to get rid of the veins, but withou success, unless I use vasoconstrictors, which, as you know, just make the problem worse. I find that some days my eyes are worse and other times, not too bad (when I'm rested and not under a lot of stress, and my eyes seem to lubricate better.) I think I have ocular rosacea, and you may have it as well. Light, heat, and stress exacerbate the problem.
What types of drops have you been using?

Hi im using oprex eye spay at the moment, was using drops prescribed by doctor before forgot which ones.

Ive considered trying Collyre bleu but i dunno some of the chemicals in it are banned in most countries. And its expensive and hard to get.

this is what my eyes look like although they look worse under flourescent lighting like supermarkets etc. (thats when the veins look a deep red colour and the eyes look white a nasty mixture.

its not just there is all over my eyes

I just wanted to say that your eye dosn´t look that bad and it looks fine, but i understand how you feel i have the same thing in my eyes but it is on the side near my ears and not near the nose. Do yo know when it started? Do you know why?

I think your eye looks dry. Do you drink a lot of water? my eyes looks a little bit better when i do that. I am waiting for a cure cause i really belive there will be. (and i really hope so too)

              Hello

You may be obsessing on the redness - Your eyes look normal in that photo - I would get a dry eye check - My eyes are sensitive to light and always get red and dry in a asupermarket or store....

Your eyes don't look red at all but I can understand if you said you were driven mad by the itching.

When you say you have tried several drops, what kind do you mean? What were you treating? Might they have contributed to the itching?

Avoid Collyre Bleu or any others that claim to whiten the eye. Models use them for photo shots but they don't put them in every day.

                        Hello

Your eyes are pretty normal looking - Red eyes are totally red - you look like you have acne - possibly you have blocked glands in the eyes...

they dont fully disapear but they do fade sometimes during the day unless im having a really bad irritated day then they dont but just be careful i personally think you look fine and think if you start messin with them more they may just get more irritated but i know its hard when you know how bad they are but when i look at other people there eyes are just as veiny.
                          try not worry

There are one or two doctors doing this laser thing in Europe too but most people get the veins back after this procedure it can evan come back worse.(Especieally when you have many thin veins all over) I do not think there is a safe way to remove veins, but i hope there will be in the future. If it is not laser maybe eyedrops that removes them. There is anti vegf therapy for AMD, CNV and pterygium now and maybe in the future you could use this for red veins.
(A pterygium is a a lot of veins and tissue growing on the white part of your eye, it can grow over the cornea and than you will have a little bit of a visionproblem)

I would like to know about this blocked gland aswell. I thought you would have to have some kind of eyelidproblems to have that is that not true? inflamed eyelids or corners of the eye and veins very visible on the eyelids but maybe you can have blocked glands anyway that you can not see?
