I am currently at the beginning stages of trying to get this dry eye under control. I am understanding that this could take a very long time. I have been dealing with this for about 11 months now, but feel like I am just now getting real treatment. I have been using Restasis for 5 weeks now, Last week, I had some really good days where my eyes were almost normal. My spirits were so uplifted from this. Now, I have had three days where they are bad again. This seems to be a pattern. My question: Does this mean that this treatment is not helping? Is this normal for all treatments that I will try? I am scheduled to go back to the dr. in 3 days. I think that he will insert punctal plugs at this time. Will I experience the same with the plugs? It is like 2 steps forward then 2 or three steps back. It is hard to not get depressed when I can't seem to progress. Does anyone have any insight on what I am experiencing on my road to getting this under control?
