  • Sad.

My dry eye buddy is on vacation, so I need to post this here!

I am just feeling a bit sad this afternoon as I navigate my office and realize that every room I go to and from has a fan blowing and that it causes me to push my goggles up against my face.

And then, going from my steamy, humidified office to my hot, dry car usually really puts me over the edge.

And I worry about going to yoga this afternoon because it is a rather hot and dry day here in the Pacific Northwest. Will it make my eyes be unbearable by the end of the day? And what about those downward facing dog poses that gets my eyes all achy.

And it is like I have to pause and catch my breath because I feel like I have to live in a bubble. I am no longer a normal human being. I have a condition that is disabling me. My eyes are that sensitive. How does a person live like this??? Geez, this just has to get better.

I guess I just take a deep breath, say my mantra, give St. Lucy a little prayer and keep going on the faith that it will get better. And maybe try to humble myself a bit, because it can always be worse.

    Thanks for the rant.

I hear ya, this is most definitely the worst thing that has happened to me....It is extremely difficult, and disabling, it has made my life literally hell.....I am 20 years old with this, have had MGD/Blepharitis since age 17. so I understand what your talking about......if I could sum it up with one word it would be...............hell.......

I'm so sorry you are in such a state. I will pray to St. Lucy for you as well. I'll even ask my kids to do it...and they will.

        MDE,

I'm so sorry that you are having a rough time.

I'm so impressed with you that you are able to go to your office and keep doing things in your life. It would be easy to shut down, and I have done that myself, so just to hear that you are out and doing things is inspiring.

        Hang in there!

          Disabling is definitely the word.

I am having a hard time too MDE.

I don't know what to say to make it easier for you, except that I completely understand how you feel and you're not alone. Although I have yet to personally meet another person with dry eyes like us. Sigh.

I know how you feel. To boot I have a very dry mouth which requires me to chew gum or drink water every second of the waking day. You are doing great though by ploughing forward despite the limitations. Best wishes,
