  • mail order $$

If your insurance has a mail order option, check it out!

I have been paying a $40 co-pay for my Azasite. Anyone who has ever used it, knows how precious few drops are in that tiny bottle.

For some reason, mail order just seemed like too much trouble to bother with.
    Till now.
My Dr. talked with my insurance, and get this,

Today I received 9 bottles in the mail ,
    ALL for $80 dollars
Thats like buy 2 get 7 free!

Wow. Great tip. I've never thought to do it either. Will keep it in mind. How do you like Azasite, by the way? I have an Rx for it but haven't tried.

      Nothing short of phenomenal.
Except for the cost and the ridiculously small amount in the bottle.

One of those things you either love or hate,
I am definitely a fan. Not only would I gladly pay the $40 co-pay, but if I ran out before the insurance would pay again,
As happened more often than not, I just paid the full price.
I think sometimes when I went to work, my whole check was just to buy the stuff.

My main complaints were blepharitis, ocular rosacea , MGD. and ocular allergy.
I went from 95% misery to 95% normal. I don't care what it cost to keep that.

skygodess - do you mind me asking a few questions? How often do you use this: How many drops per day? Do you take weeks off in between the 7 day course or use it daily? What improvements have you noticed? ie. Less redness of the eyes or lids? Any info you have would really be appreciated - I have the same eye issues as you. Thanks!

          Hi Alison,
I use it as needed. My lids hurt and burn like fire sometimes, swell and I get a strange sensation at the base of my lashes.
I want to literally pull them out. It is crazy to be constantly aware of your eyelashes, but that is the only way I can describe it.

If I catch it early I can stop it with a drop 4x a day for a day or two.

I can prevent it with a drop in each eye 2x per day, I have a permanent refill.
Dr has me on it 2x a day long term.
