  • saran wrap under your sleeping mask

A friend from this forum suggested this...I have a normal eye mask as I dont do well with tranquileyes but I tried putting a slip of saran wrap under my mask and I woke up feeling so much better. The wrap was very moist and my eyes felt moisturized for quite awhile. Another benefit is if the mask has allergans on it the saran wrap should protect you from them....just a thought!

Very effective, to say nothing of budget-friendly. I used to use saran wrap on its own (rectangular piece pressed down around my eyes) many years ago.

I am another member of the cling film brigade. I use it under a sleep mask, and it really helps keep my eye drops from evaporating, and helps my eyes stay moist. It keeps the sleep mask cleaner for longer too.

How do you keep the saran wrap from moving around? Do you wrap it around the sleep mask?

you put it underneath the sleep mask- just a little strip....

It clings to my skin quite well - I just use a strip a little bit bigger than my eye area. I tried Glad Press n Seal, but it plinked all the little hairs on my face.

I have had an unexpected side benefit - since I started using cling film, nearly a year ago, I have fewer wrinkles around my eyes. Holding the moisture from my eye drops against the skin seems to really help!

It worked very nicely for me last night. Thanks for the tip

Ok, just tried what a friend of mine suggested- a drop of Refresh Plus (pres free) under the saran wrap- heaven when you wake up- plus all those hours of moisture

Do you put the Refresh PM in the eyes or on the wrap?
Sorry for the silly question, but just wondering...

Just a drop in each eye before putting the saran wrap and sleeping mask on. Like I said, the good thing is all those hours that you are asleep your eyes are bathed in the pres free drop...

                        saran wrap under sleep mask

sounds like a good idea. I'm beginning to think the terry cover on mine might actually be absorbing what little moisture I have from the Systane. I may try the Dwelle soon tho.

                        Thanks

                          Saran wrap under sleeping mask

I've been using the Saran wrap under my sleeping mask for the last two nights and for the first time in years my eyes aren't bone dry when I wake up. Also, they are not as red throughout the day. Great idea!

I remember reading someone talking about using the glad press and seal wrap...little different than saran wrap. That might be worth a shot too!

This does definately help. I bought the medtronic liquid eye bandage as suggested by my Dr. but couldn't get the dang things to stick.. Anyone ever try them? It seemed I followed the directions. Was so mad at wasting them b/c they are expensive.
