When I first had complications with dry eyes, I went to my doctor and did the schirmer's test which it came back that my eyes were just a little dry, but that time that I did it, I squeezed my eyes really tight. The next time I went in due to much pain, I didn't squeez so tight and the test turned up that I have very dry eyes. Should it matter if I squint really tight or not?

Hi ttdub, For the most part, schirmers and tbut are largely unreliable and can fluctuate from moment to moment. It is not unusual to have different results, and it is also not unusual to have the results not reflect your symptoms. I wouldn't put too much on the exact result, but rather the overall result...that your schirmers have been below normal twice, meaning that you most likely have aqueous deficiency, and move on from there to treat it.
