eyeliner

I swore when I was in the throes of misery following my LASIK eight years ago, I would never care about how my eyes looked again. But, I constantly struggle with how washed-out my eyes always look. They are very weepy and it does make wearing makeup impossible. Still, now and then I take a peek at what's available. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Some sort of staining product would do nicely. Just need a little color...eyeliner, not mascara. Has anyone tried these:

I haven't tried of these but they look similiar to the Smashbox liner i use (when my allergies aren't bad).. I use the Liquidfast eyeliner-it is waterproof and you have to use their eyemakeup remover to take it off-that is a bit oily but Dr. Foulks said it is safe to use.. I like to use the liner on the top lids-if i use it on my bottom i use drops so often i am afraid even being waterproof would come off a bit.

good luck.. by the way-i have super sensitive eyes and can tolerate this liner and remover. they sell it at Sephora.

I think we can all feel like this from time to time - although my eye problems are not attributable to Lasik.

This morning, my eyes looked and felt rather sore. Normally, I don't care about wearing shades but this morning, I felt really self conscious about them. A family friend introduced me to her elderly sister - someone I had met before but she couldn't recollect what I looked like `properly'. She was lovely, far too polite to mention the dark specs but I really noticed how her eyes searched my face for recognition. Our face is where people look when they want to know us or understand us - so off came the specs!

I still like to buy the occasional item of make up. I've recently bought a new mascara by Lancome - and although others may not really notice it, it does restore some of the definition around the eyes plus my self confidence.

I am experimenting with eyeshadow by Dr Hauschka; I never used to wear the stuff but I'm looking for something to tone down the redness of the lids.

For all-round eye use (a bit heavier) there is Benefit Badgal eyeliner (this would be harder to remover, I think since it is a chubby pencil and is made to give a heavier look though I suppose it depends...if you applied it with a light hand it might be ideal. URL below:

It is by Guerlain and is pretty expensive. It comes in lots of shades if black is too harsh for you and I know some like this as an alternative to pencil liners... It takes a bit of practice but the results are nice...

I hope this helps... I have a terrible time finding anything (terrible sensitivities!!) I plan on asking you all what you use to clean your eyes without irritation etc at some point
