Does anyone know which color of tint is best to protect light-sensitive, red eyes? Does the color matter?

There is a tint called FL-41 conventionally used for certain kinds of photophobia... however I am not sure what if anything it does for photophobia attributable to corneal disease as opposed to retinal.
I'd find a really good optician to talk it over with and try on some different kinds.Rebecca Petris

I find that the amber tint of night vision goggles is most helpful for me. I wear the goggles day and night when my photophobia is especially bothersome, and with a cataract on top of the DES that is becoming most of the time.Every day with DES is like a box of chocolates...You never know what you're going to get.
